Little Free Library

Original Little Free Library

In September 2022, Linda wanted to spread the word about Banned Books Week and provide some much-needed access to a few of the “banned” reads.

To do this, she filled the Little Free Library in front of her home with only books that appear on the ALA’s Most Challenged Books List - for Adults and Kids.

After posting about it on Twitter, Linda’s tweet went viral, garnering support from the writing community at large and effectively sparking discussion that challenged the concept of banning books in the first place.

Holiday Little Free Library

Linda loves stocking her library for the holidays!

She adds lighting, Hanukkah gelt and candy canes as extra treats. She collects holiday-themed books all year and gets most of them from her local library's used book store.

March Little Free Library

In March, Food Fight participated in National Eating Disorder Awareness Week by volunteering as a collaborator and posting relevant information on social media. Linda also used her LFL to spread the word by offering kidlit books about eating disorders and body positivity.

Next year Food Fight will be in the mix!
